Keyboard shortcuts#
Press ⌘/ on Mac or Ctrl+/ on Windows and Linux to open the searchable shortcuts sheet. Press ? when you are not typing for the same sheet. The desktop app also has Help → Keyboard Shortcuts.

In a channel or thread composer, press Esc to leave the text box; then shortcut keys like G U work. Click in the messages or press Enter to type again. After clicking in the messages, letters such as "guys" go into the composer. If G starts a sequence but no valid second key follows within one second, it goes into the draft. A second Esc after leaving the composer marks the channel read or closes the thread. In the Inbox, 1–4 select the unread filters. In the Talk to picker, use ↑/↓ to move, Space or Enter to select, 1–9 to select an agent by position, M to switch the thread's require-mention setting, and Esc to close. Voice shortcuts appear only when voice input is enabled.
On Linux, Ctrl+Shift+U may invoke IBus Unicode entry; use G U after leaving the composer instead.
In the desktop app, ⌘, on Mac or Ctrl+, on Linux also opens Settings.
Change a shortcut#
Open Settings → Keyboard, select Change, and press a new key combination. Escape cancels, Backspace turns the shortcut off, and Reset restores its default. Shortcuts are saved on this device. The app blocks keys reserved by the browser or operating system, checks for conflicts with other Agora actions, and asks before replacing a conflicting binding. Sequences and Escape behavior have fixed bindings.
